Established in November 2022, Terna Forward is Terna Group’s first company dedicated to technological innovation, also through Corporate Venture Capital investments in startups that offer solutions capable of responding to the challenges of Digitization, Decarbonization, Decentralization and Electrification. Given the nature of the Terna Group, the vehicle is structured as an energy/infrastructure partner whose presence allows collaborations with other Corporate. Furthermore, Terna Forward aims to enhance in-house expertise through the creation of spin-offs and Venture Building activities as well as launching long-term deep-tech partnerships. The vehicle usually acquires directly minority stake in innovative companies in line with Terna’s strategy and partecipates in Corporate VC funds. As a Limited Partner in these VC funds, Terna Forward plays a role in shaping the investment strategies of the funds by participating in their Advisory Boards.
